Turkey Leftovers

Thanksgiving is here! Tomorrow everyone will be gathering with their families and filing their bellies with the flavors of fall. Besides spending time with my family that I love I am most excited about eating dressing and trying all of the great desserts. What about you?

But every year after the meal is over it never fails, I am always heading home with plates full of leftovers that are ready to be enjoyed over the weekend. If you are wanting to change up your turkey leftovers a little I found some great recipes for you in the Cooking Light Annual Recipes Book 2006, but they are also available online where you can print them off quickly if needed. I have attached the links to the recipes below.

The first recipe is called Hot Turkey Sandwiches. These sandwiches only take a couple of minutes to put together and just ten minutes to bake in the oven. Being so quick and easy these would make a great lunch whenever you get home from your early morning Black Friday shopping. Serve with other side item leftovers you have.

The next recipe is for Turkey Noodle Soup. This recipe is only 280 calories per a serving and with your turkey already cooked it won’t take much time to mix up at all. This would be a great meal to enjoy while you’re cheering on the Pokes watching the Bedlam game Saturday afternoon. 🙂

I hope that everyone has a great Thanksgiving weekend and gets to enjoy great quality time with your family.  Take this weekend to relax because they Christmas rush is just around the corner.
